I've manageed to hit a brick wall when trying to do something seemingly pretty simple. I've got a map saved as .psd, approx 15000x15000px which I want to print out over a number of A4 pages, say 4x4. I'd have thought Photoshop would have that sort of functionality built in, but I can't find it.
There's an app called Poster Print which seems to do what I want but I'm reluctant to fork out $18 for something I'm only going to use once. Are there any free alternitives out there, or am I just missing something stupidly obvious in PhotoShop? Any other possible workarounds?
Cheers,
John F

OmniGraffle has the ability to generate posters/banners for you. I can't remember how it worked in OmniGraffle 3 which is what I assume you have bundled on your PB, but OmniGraffle 4 makes this easy to do. You could export the map as an image and import it into OmniGraffle - be sure to select "Auto-adjust the canvas size" to have it fit the image automatically:
If OmniGraffle 3 doesn't let you do this, you can get free 24 hour trial licences for OmniGroup products that let you use all the features of the app without any limits, although you may be able to do this with the unlicensed version anyway.

Thanks JKT, problem solved! In fact, I've found OmniGraffle 4 to be such an improvement over v2.1 which came with my PowerBook that I might even buy it.
Cheers,
