Hi all
I am probably missing something simple here , but can anyone tell me how to sort the bookmarks in safari into alphabetical order.

Thank you

You can't because Safari doen't have that option. Dumb move on Apple's part. Hopefully, they'll implement this soon. For now, try Bookdog.

Not true. You can drag bookmarks in any order you want.

That's not really the same thing as having an automatic alphabetical sort option.

When did anybody here mention "automatic"?

I agree with wataru. Manually dragging is not a convenient method of sorting 50 or more bookmarks.

Hi and thanks for the replies
I had a look at bookdog but i am not going to pay for a program just to sort my bookmarks in alphabetical order, when this simple feature should be available in the browser.
How the hell did Apple miss this one.
I love using Safari, so will have to put up with this, until Apple decides to fix it in the next release or updates they have planned.

The Safari team has some weird notions about bookmarking - no sorting and no separators. I have gotten used to not having those features, but it is jarring to those who have recently switched.
