Looked through the forums and didn't find a response to this question, but apologies if it's already been answered.
I'm using a PowerBook and a Generation I and Generation V iPod with it. I have iTunes set up to automatically set the level of imported songs. I have a suspicion that this has gradually gone wrong. Songs playing in iTunes are very faint. The originals are much louder when played through the Finder than they wind up being after iTunes has got hold of them. On the iPod, I now have the same problem and can't get enough volume out of the songs.
Is there a way to tell iTunes to reset the volume? I remember Soundjam used to ask you to specify the reference song. Can iTunes be given a reference song too? Alternatively is there other software that can readjust the volume on all of my songs automatically?
