If I get a compatible cell phone & sync it with ical & address book over isync, is there a way to control what info goes to the cell phone? I don't have a compatible unit to test this on, but the one I am looking at has a 500 entry limit for contacts & I'm sure some kind of data limit for calendars. I have about 1500 contacts in address book & a lot of data in my icals. I'm just wondering what would happen if I synced up. would I just get the first 500 contacts, or can I select which ones transfer? Also, with icals, is there a way to specify date ranges that would sync over to the phone?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Yes, you can select which ones get synced. In Address Book, create a new Group and put the contacts in it that you want to put on your phone. Then, in iSync, choose that group as the one to sync.

I don't think you can set specific date ranges, but you can select which calendars to sync over specific time intervals (1 week, 2 weeks, etc.).
