I need to check an external USB 2 drive with diskwarrior but the program will not allow me to select it on the hardware side. I plugged in a firewire drive to see if it would show up but only the hard drive mounted inside the computer comes up on the drop-down list.

All the drives show up in diskwarrior if I want to rebuild the directory through the program.
All the drives are formatted as Macintiosh Extended

So is there no way to run a manual diagonotic on external hard drives with diskwarrior?
