I have iLife 5 installed on my Macs, and am interested in iLife 6. There are several upgrades offered in 6 that I am interested in. One of them is the Pod Cast features of Garageband 3. But, from reading forums it seems that many are reporting that Garageband 3 is having problems that 2 does not on the music production side. Latency....etc. I want the best of both worlds. I want the music production of GB 2, and the Podcast production of GB 3.

My question is: I have GB 2 already on my internal boot drive. Can I leave it there and then install GB 3 on an external drive? I do that with games and such and they run fine. But my concern with GB is if the OS will even allow two copies existing on the system. I would not use them at the same time, but use them for different things.

Anyone done this? Any ideas?

Thanks
Dewaine

GB2 and 3 are two separate applications. They should be able to run from the same folder on the same drive and concurrently.
