I try to use a aperture sodtware in my Power G5 but i have only 500Mb memory. One person say me if have a mode to change the minimum requisition 1gb to 500Mb. It is really? How i can change.

Why have you not added more RAM to your machine? Do you not realize how much the performance of your machine is dependent on RAM?

Agreed. Seems strange to me how some one could afford $500 for Aperture but not $70 for some more RAM...

you are right, but l have a reason for this, i live in Brasil, and hear don't have a apple store and is too much dificult to buy a DDR2 memory. If i buy in EUA using a ups or similar i pay $40 shiping and the price + shiping 2 times for costom. For this i wait because in abril i return to Miami.
Sorry for my bad english. The aperture is with me because a friend buy it but don't use and like to sell me, and i try it.

If your going to use Aperture you need to upgrade the ram. I just went from 1.5 to 2.0gig and I see a huge difference within Aperture. The minimum requirements are there for a purpose especially for aperture and its memory needs.

I put today more 1Gb in my Power G5 and now the aperture works fine.
