I'm running low on disk space and I wanted to make sure it is safe to delete the following applications:

Chess
iMovie
Transparent Dock
Zinio

Also, what else can I do to clear up disk space?
iBook G4: 800mhz, 640mb, 40gb ("Astrid")
iPod: 30gb Photo ("Gordon"), 1gb Shuffle ("Tinker Bell")

Sure, it is safe...it's just that those programs (minus iMovie) aren't going to clear very much room for you. How big is your HD? What is taking up all the space? Can you archive stuff to CD/DVD?

You could also use Delocalizer to strip your apps of other languages.
