they haven't fixed the conflict with disc utility that started in 6.0.2. this is a pretty major issue, so what the heck is going on here?

Which Disk Utility/iTunes conflict is this? Is it a widely known issue (being that at least two MacNN members here don't know about it, perhaps it's more isolated)?

I've never had an iTunes <-> Disc Utility conflict.
I suggest you give a further discription of your problem.

ah... the reason I haven't heard about it is cos I'm on 10.4.5 - possibly why it hasn't been fixed with 10.3.9? (also it would have to be 10.3.9.5....!)
