Hey what's up everyone? I was looking through the posts and I guess no one is having this problem. Whenever I use safari for apple.com and yahoo.com, the sites don't load fully (it's a pain i can't access my email and stuff). It used to be that one other site didn't load properly and these sites were fine, but not yahoo and apple are giving trouble. Sometimes when I search for updates on the problem, it can't get a connection, yet it say internet is working fine and I can access other sites. My roommate is fine w/ his comp. I have an iBook G4, and it has not given any problems up to this point. Any advice? Thanks.

ps I have tried to empty the cache and reset safari, it kinda works, but then in like 2 secs goes back to not being able to load.

This sounds like a Networking issue to me, but I'll try to help you before the topic gets moved.

Do you connect to the internet wirelessly, through ethernet, or with dial-up?

If you are connected wirelessly, how far away are you from the base? Also - did you install the Airport Extreme wireless card yourself, or did it come pre-installed for you?

Have you tried using another browser (Firefox, Opera, etc)? If so, does the same problem occur?

To me, it sounds like you're surfing wirelessly and that you may be too far from the base station - receiving low signals, thus causing your browsing experiences to be less than satisfactory. If not, perhaps your Airport Extreme card is loose and the connection needs to be tightened - which is a simple thing to accomplish.
