I like the layout. This was the one thing keeping me from purchasing iLife, I'm against being forced into using Templates.
Agree with Revevs, you need to scoot it down a few pixels, and the front page will look great.

Nice job, it's colorful without being over the top. I agree with the others above and move the design down a few pixels. Keep up the good work.

Nice looking site.
it's easy if you have designs skills... I will give you a five steps guide:
1) find out the space measurements you want to fill out with a picture or art design (let's say you want a top banner type of title)
2) with any graphic software like photoshop or whatever work the art, the logo the extreme stuff you want to put inside that page.
3) open a white page of iWeb (select the "about me-modern template" and erase everything there)
4) drag and drop the art you made inside that white page.
5) start playing with your creativity and develope the page of your dreams!
note: please use .jpeg or .gif files for graphics at a very low resolution for faster page download. for example a jpeg file at 72dpi works great! good luck! work on your page and post it here I wanna see it right away!

Thanks for the advice.
Not working on a page just yet, but will put this into practice. I'll pick up a copy of Photoshop soon.
Here is my daughter's softball team page, work in progress. She takes her PB to team events and the players will start working on their own content.
