Hi everyone,
I'm updating a system running Ram Doubler 9 , Word 2001 on OS 9, but I have not found Connectix's updater, which fixes a freeze when using that version of Word with Ram Doubler 9.
Any ideas where to get it at/anybody have it? Thanks in advance!

Why do you need RamDoubler if you are using OS9?
Just turn Virtual memory on in the memory control panel.
You might want to upgrade to 9.2 as well.
Or am i missing something??

Nope. RAM Doubler is about useless in this day and age, especially with the cheap prices of memory and the memory manager in OS 9.
But to try and be slightly helpful, unless someone has it archived somewhere, I think you may be SOL. The MS Tech note references the problem, but directs you to the connectix site which is long gone...

Sorry for not responding sooner. I got the update and I installed 9.2.2, so I'm good to go. If anyone wants the ram doubler 9 update, let me know :-)

Just to clarify Alcon, don't bother installing RAM Doubler on 9.2.2, Apples memory management system is better.

I seem to recall RAM doubler being more destructive to a system than it was helpful...
