HD resource inside DVD Player

So I found this "PreferenceItemHD.pct" inside DVD Player resources, clear like water that it is aimed to the DVD Player Preferences window, but it is not shown while the app is running…
Applications > DVD Player.app/Contents/Resources/Art/PreferenceItemHD.pct
versus the current DVD Player Preferences window as shown in my Mac
Are we getting HD DVD support sooner than later?

DVD Player on Tiger already supports HD-DVD. Has since Tiger came out.

I can see the nib resource inside the spanish.lproj folder… maybe my Mac is not enough powerful to play High Definition DVDs and therefore the HD option is useless and not shown? <1.25 GHz MDD>

If any other user has interest on this… I just realized that there is a 'Show Supported Features' menu item under DVD Player's Help menu, so yes, my MDD is not HD friendly.

Really? Including AACS? That would be a neat trick since it wasn't finalized by then.
It could support H.264 video on a regular DVD-9, which is something that (I think) both HD-DVD and Bluray players will play as HD video, but without AACS support it would only work for unencrypted discs. Oh well, I suppose it could be updated in 10.4.8 or whatever.
