I'm getting "Mail cannot update your mailboxes because your home directory is full.
You must free up space in your home folder before using Mail. Delete unneeded documents or move documents to another volume." When I try to receive mail in OS X 10.4.5. I've never even heard of this message before anyone heard of this and know of a fix?

This is on an iMac G5 with 250 Gig HD. Only about 50 gigs have been used.

We get this all the time with our network home directories (not applicable to your situation, I'm sure). The fix (for us, anyway), is this:

Quit Mail. Open your Library folder, and open the Mail folder in there. Look for any files whose names start with "Envelope Index" and trash them.
Launch Mail. It'll say that it needs to import your mail. This is okay. It'll go through your mailboxes and reindex your mail.
