When I first got my iBook, PDF documents from the net opened right inside Safari. This was great, so much better than waiting for windows to load Acrobat Reader!

Anyway, since I installed Acrobat Reader for Mac, Safari has asked me which program to open the PDFs from the web in - and preview is not an option. I have tried getting rid of adobe reader, but no luck. Is there a way to 're-tell' safari to open PDFs inside it?

Cheers

YOu don't need to get rid of Acrobat Reader, go inside Reader's Preferences and on the list of categories to the left select internet. If the pull down menu allows you to select Preview, do so, if there are no choices then uncheck the first item "display pdf in browser using"

You may need this additional step:
go to system prefs>Quicktime prefs>Advanced tab seclect MIME settings

then for Click the disclosure triangle next to Images - Still image files.
Click the checkbox by PDF Image to select it.
Click OK.

that should do it.
