I have a MacBook Pro 2.0 and when purchasing was not aware the Virtual PC was not aware with Rosetta. Has anyone found a fix? Any suggestions to get around this other than taking it back?

If you must run VPC (and not some other PC emulator), you'll have to wait until a compatible version is available from MS.

I would take it back immediately. In a few months, you will be able to get software for free that runs several times faster than VPC.
If you need a Windows emulator now, you can try the "unstable" version of Q from:
http://www.kberg.ch/q/
However, you will have to install Windows 2000 on it, Windows XP and 98 cannot be installed at the moment. In a few weeks, XP should be installable, too.
Even the current version of Q for the Intel Macs (which does not yet use virtualization) is already faster than VPC on PowerPC Macs. And Q is free, you'll only have to pay for your copy of Windows, if you do not have one already.

Well, you can install XP in Q but via a very, very round about way - from what I have seen elsewhere you can do it by first creating an XP install on a PowerPC mac in Q and copy it over, or you can do the same using QEMU for a PC. However, even then there are issues such as not being able to install any apps... so, yeah, you need to wait for a bit or ironing out to be done.
