Does anyone know of a good program to secure the mac; ie, firewall program, anti-virus, and ad-ware removal?

Coming from Windows I've learned the hard way how to secure my PCs. I know many say that Macs are secure. But I'm paranoid. I do a lot online transactions which deal with various bank accounts and sometimes large sums of money.

Security wise, what's out there for Tiger?

Firewall is in System Preferences->Sharing->Firewall
Usually recommended anti-virus software is clamXav.
Adware there is currently no known for OS X, so there is no removal program either.

You'll be in great shape if you follow what TETENAL said. If you feel the need even more control over firewall preferences I'd suggest getting a router, if you don't already own one. Good luck and welcome to the world of Mac.

Do you do any of these banking transactions wirelessly? If you do I would make sure that you use WPA and not WEP on your router.
