...I have an HP Scanjet 4670. I used it with my iMac G5, now I want to use it with my new mini core duo. Has anyone installed the software and tried it? I have to admit that I am afraid to do it, since it requires a reboot and I am afraid it will make some modification at the system level then blow up when rosetta hits it?
24 inch iMac 2.4, 320GB HD, 4 GB RAM

Don't install HP's drivers. Are there built-in drivers?

You may want to investigate using Vuescan, instead. Costs a bit, but it's great software and I bet it's already universal.
