In AppleWorks when I do a Spell Check or use Find, the box is stuck up at the top of the screen so that only the bottom edge is showing and the text field and dialog can't be seen (see pic) I try to drag it down, but only the top of the frame is drag-sensitive. I can't mimimize it.

I can use it like this, of course,, but's not much help if I can't see what I'm changing or finding. This happens repeatedly. Please help!

This pic shows more clearly how both boxes are jammed up at the top of the screen.

The situation's gotten more serious too. Restarting no longer corrects the problem as it did before, although temporarily.

Woe is me.

Well, for those of you who have been following my fascinating saga, here is the latest: I installed the AppleWorks update and the problem has disappeared.

Which just goes to show, it is best to exhaust every possible solution to a problem before turning to a forum because -- as this thread testifies -- sometimes people either don't know, don't care, or don't bother to reply.

Just aren't quick enough (and don't know). But, glad it's all sorted though.

It's still good to post with your solution since it may well help someone else later on.
