I recently discovered many albums in the iTunes UK and DE stores that are unavailable in the US store. In order to purchase from those stores, you apparently need a billing address in that country...

I tried buying a UK iTunes gift card, thinking that was the obvious loophole, and they won't even let you do that!

Now I could very easily find some file sharing program and get the songs for free...but I want to do this the legit way, and preferaly through iTunes, but I'm all out of ideas. Surely one of you are aware of a loophole of some sort...

Nope. Not possible. You have to have an address in the country the music store is linked with.

I don't know of a loophole in iTMS, but you should be able to order the album from amazon.co.uk or amazon.de.

Yeah, but it's $6 for some b-sides vs $25 for import singles.

Just register with a fake address in the UK and don't enter your credit card info.

You can then use your gift certificate as normal.

That's what I thought, but it won't let me finish the registration process without entering credit card information. Perhaps I'm slow...what am I doing wrong?

Thats strange, I have a US and a UK account (iTMS UK seems to have better music), they must have changed the policy.

I've got a similar proplem it's just I'm in the UK and I want to buy stuff from the US store. I've got a US account but I can't buy anything because I need a US bank account. If I buy a gift certificate in the UK can I use it in the US store?
