I don't know if any of you are experiencing the same thing, but I'm having problems viewing flash items in my web browsers on my MBP; ie, Safari, Opera, Firefox, & Camino. Maybe it's because I'm still new to macs and don't know what I'm doing, but every browser with the exception of Netscape cannot display the flash pages. I'm always referred to the macromedia install page for a plug-in. After a successful install I still don't see any flash items, and the browser will point me back to the flash download page.

I hate using Netscape because the rendering is so slow.

Is there something I must do? I followed the directions and even tried uninstalling and installing with no luck.

Clueless...

You must use the Flash plug-in that comes preinstalled with your MacBook. Use Pacifist to restore it or do an Archive & Install of the operating system.

Really?... I wasn't aware of the fact that macs came with third party essential software needed for proper rendering of pages. Would it have been installed already if this is the case (or say if you do a HDD factory state re-install), or is this something the end user must do for all new macs and reinstalls?

Interesting...

The end user must do nothing. The Flash plug-in is preinstalled on all Macs. It just works. You have overwritten the preinstalled Flash plug-in with the PowerPC-version. That's why it doesn't work any more. Restore the Flash plug-in that came with your Mac with the help of Pacifist or do an Archive & Install of the operating system.

I wonder when the Intel-based Flash Player version will be downloadable for Mac users.
