Hi,

I am new to the world of apple Mac's, and I have a question about getting an old printer (HP Officejet v40) working with my Intel iMac (3 days since purchase).

Various web sites have recommended the use of HPIJS 2.0.2 , which I have downloaded (along with ESP Ghostscript 7.07.1) to allo me access to a working printer driver. Having executed both .mpkg files, I have no idea what to do next? When I try to setup the printer, I have no additional printers appearing under HP. Am I doing something fundamentaly wrong?

Given I am so new to Mac's, am I attempting something that should only be attempted by experts?

BTW: Both my wife and I are very impressed and cannot wait to consign the Dell PC this is replacing to the rubish bin.
