long day, and i'm sure i'm missing something obvious, but...
accidentally deleted a fave playlist in itunes.

how do i get the "are you sure" window back?
i set it to NOT ask me if i'm sure i want to delete a playlist, but i'd like to put that warning back!

how...?

That's a good question. I thought there would be a preference for this, but there is not. Once you click "Do not show this message again", that's it. Hmm, maybe there's a line in a .plist file somewhere where you can change this.

deleted pref file, PLUS "by host" itunes pref, and...no go.
(perhaps i need to log out-in?)

anyone have a clue about this?
seems it HAS to be in my user library...??

this page suggests deleting the com.apple.itunes.plist preference, although it sounds like you've already tried that.

fixed © !

i deleted the itunes pref, and the byhost itunes pref...and LOGGED OUT.
when i logged back in, set up itunes again (all my playlists etc were intact),
and now i get the warning.

no more accidental playlist deleting! (altho would be great if apple added "undo" to this...)

Thanks for the info FisherKing. This has been a pretty big pet peeve of mine about iTunes. There really should be a preference for this thing.
