Has anyone tried to do this?
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...429611033.aspx

I do alot of pasting from the web into my Grad school work.
Having a key combo is easier than going thru Edit, Paste Special from the menu.

I tried following these MS instructions but they do nto appear to work with Office 2004.

Just create a keyboard shortcut in MS Office for the Edit>Paste Special menu item. To do so, open Word, go to Tools>Customise>Customise Keyboard... and select "Edit" in the Categories: menu and find and select "EditPasteSpecial" in the Commands: menu. Click the input area for the Press new shortcut key and press the key combo you want to assign. If it is already in use it will tell you what by. Once you have the shortcut you want, click assign. I chose command-shift-V which was currently used for something else in Word by default, but not anything I ever used so I just swapped the assignment to Paste Special:

Those instructions look a lot like they're aimed at the Windows version. Which reminds me that having a "right mouse button," even on a Mac, is a good thing. When you right click with material on the clipboard, you'll get a context menu with "Past Special." That's how I learned it originally, so it feels much easier to me than any key combination.
