I bought another mac when i tried to install
DVD studio pro
Final Cut Pro
Logic Pro

I am asked for serial number like an a**hole i can't find the paperwork or boxes to these programs and don't have the serial numbers anymore.

Must i buy another copy of the apps?

1)Is there a way i can copy the aps off my old comp to say my ipod or a dvd and install them onto my new machine? if so what files must i copy?

2) Is there a way i can get around the serial numbers or find numbers that will work?

Thanks for your help!

can't you just check the "about..." menu item under the application menu?

You did not keep the serial numbers to apps that cost thousands of dollars? Wow. Sucks to be you. I don't know about what version of Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro you have, but the box for Final Cut Studio is not something you "lose". It's freaking huge and weighs more than the box the iMac comes in.

However, if you are legit and have registered your software (which you should), you should contact Apple for your serial numbers. At least with Logic Pro you have the hardware dongle to prove you rightfully own it. (Right...?). Take it to an Apple store and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you out.

Do you still have the Software Proof of Purchase coupons? You might be able to call Apple, and upon proof that you purchased them, get a new set for a nominal fee.
