Today I got a remote control for cheap, and I'm trying to get it to work on my iMac G5. It's the Logitech UltraX remote control. Officially it's only pc compatible, but it works as a HID, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Fact is that it works, partly. MacOS recognises a new "keyboard" and installs it. Some buttons (volume, numbers, arrows/ok) work, basically everything a normal keyboard also has. The things that don't work are the media buttons: play/pause - back/forward. Seeing that my main use would be controling iTunes from the couch, those are quite important.

Is there a program that could "read out" the unrecognised keys from the remote and map them to shortcuts/menuitems? I've tried some programs on macupdate, but those remap only keys that are already recognised. I need to pick up the keys at a lower level.
proud daddy!
