I already posted this over at Apple's official .Mac forum, but if someone knows the answer to this...much appreciated. It's definitely something screwy in my account.
My .Mac on one machine has suddenly stopped working.
- In the .Mac pane (System Preferences), it no longer validates my password, despite the login information being correct. Normally the bottom half goes from the sign-up plug to how long your account is still active. It doesn't happen now. Yet, under a new account, this works fine.
- My .Mac mail still works and I can send and receive messages.
- Under the iDisk tab, my iDisk's information isn't displayed. Instead, I get an error: "There's a problem connecting to the iDisk server at this time. Please try again later. You may continue to work offline on your local iDisk." Oddly enough, my local iDisk can still sync.
- Syncing has completely stopped working. I get the dreaded "Unable to log in to the .Mac synchronization server" error and the usual plethora of sync-related errors and console dumps experienced by others lately. This has been the case for two days now.
I have tried all of the plist deletions, SyncServices voodoo, unregistering from the other computers - anything involving .Mac I trashed from my home directory in question. Even deleting caches. It's definitely something in my account and I cannot pinpoint the problem, as I do not have any issues with the other machines I have syncing on.
Anyone with answers?
