Ok, I have two questions:

(1) is there any way for Pages to import my custom spelling dictionary from AppleWorks;

(2) does anyone know what the word capacity of Pages custom dictionary is (and how it compares to Apple Works)?

Well, it's done, but this is prolly not the most efficient way to go about it. For anyone with a similar need, I did the following:

Open the custom AW User dictionary in Text Edit. It's located in Applications > AppleWorks 6 > Apple Works Essentials > Dictionaries;

Do a Find and Replace of the "#0" with a blank space. Then do a Find and Replace "#" with a blank space;

Select all and then copy & paste all the words into Pages;

Run spell check in Pages and be prepared to hit "learn, learn, learn..." a whole bunch of times.

FWIW, my Pages Dictionary did NOT fill up, whereas I had already hit my limit with AppleWorks.
