Erm, the title says it - I want to fit text along a curve, and can't do it in Graffle - what's out there? Cheap or free...

Your best solution (for free!) is PhaderX. It's a fairly old (circa 2001-2002) osx text editor that still runs fine on my 10.3.9 machine. Don't know about Tiger, though.
