I use Route 66 a lot planning journeys around the UK, however I've checked the Route 66 website (
www.66.com) and found that they no longer sell the Mac version!
Lots of versions for mobile phones/PDA's, and just one version for Windows. I did find a comment in the support section which says:
"Please note that the "ROUTE 66 Route 2004" software for Macintosh computers was not tested on computers using Mac OS version 10.4 (Tiger) and therefore application errors may occur.
Please also note that this product does not run on Intel-based Macintosh computers."
Is that it then? I'll need to call the Government and request that no more roads are built so I don't get lost....
Is it a case that most people use dedicated GPS navigation systems, and that desktop versions aren't worth producing?
Shucks.
