A buddy just switched to Mac with a new 20" iMac and we were playing around with video chats in iChat. I had a desk lamp that provided some illumination for my face (I have the standard external iSight), and his face was illuminated in blue from the standard OS X desktop (he was using the integrated iSight (obviously)). Neither of our situations was ideal.
I thought a nice little iChat helper/script would be something that would change the desktop background to white and hide all other open apps while in a video chat, softly illuminating your face a la the "flash" feature in PhotoBooth. Then once your video chat ended, the standard desktop would be restored.
Anyone know how this can be done easily using existing tools, or are there any savvy programmers out there that could whip a little helper app together?
