Ever since I upgraded to 10.4.6 the mod I applied to my menubar clock won't stay if I log out of my user account.

I have reapplied it 3 times so far, and it works, until I log out, then it goes back to the old analog clock which for me, is unreadable, and the digital just takes too much space.

Any ideas?

the mod I used was this one:

MacBook Pro | 2.16 ghz core2duo | 2gb ram | superdrive | airport extreme
iBook G4 | 1.2ghz | 768mb ram | combodrive | airport extreme
iPhone 3GS | 32 GB | Jailbreak, or no Jailbreak

I don't see how this would be happening , and I have the same mod on and it is still working. I modified the .tiffs using Graphic Converter, and also did the mask version so it looks right when you click on it - I even put comments about that in the hint you linked .

What you're seeing means that it is actually modifying the files in the System folder on login, which is rather weird. The only thing I could suggest with rather limited knowledge would be a permissions repair....

it gets weirder, I stopped having a clock period... no digital/no analog, no matter how many times I checked/unchecked the "show clock" option in system preferences. I ended up formatting to fix that amongst several problems that showed up when I did the 10.4.6 update.
