Why, oh why can nobody help me sync my WM2005 phone with my Powerbook?

Thats all I have to say, my apologies for this pointless whine, but apparently neither of the companies which make sync software feel like talking, responding, or apparently doing f*sking anything to help.

Anybody here able to offer any hope?

What phone do you have? Missing Sync 2.5 for WM5 is in alpha:

As Macola says, Missing Sync handles all versions of PPC/Windows Mobile. And your issue isn't pointless; telephone OSs are becoming a real issue in terms of syncing address books and organizer data with computers. Believe it or not, some older Active Sync versions don't support Windows Mobile properly, and some newer versions don't "play well" with other software that COMES with XP.

I'm just glad I have a PC handy for syncing my Motorola phone; iSync only supports basic address book functions on the RAZR-and maybe some calendar stuff, but not much.

Interesting, when I had the Razr I found iSync pretty good with it, except lack of bluetooth support, seemed to deal with all the calendar events pretty well.

Thanks for pointing out the alpha of Missing Sync, half works, certainly a step in the right direction. Just a shame nobody at Mark Space could be bothered to respond to any of my e-mails.

Thanks again.

Hey there, could you give me an update on the missing sync alpha? Specifically, does it sync categories from ical or does it just dump them all into one category on the phone? Thanks.

4SmartPhone.net. Exchange Server Sync. Entourage <-> WM2003/WM5.

or to sync addressbook - use Plaxo on the Mac and Mobile Sync for Plaxo (http://webis.net/sync)

I use 4SmartPhone now as well - to be honest even though you have to use entourage, it is pretty slick.
