My brother-in-law has an obscure Windows app that configures specialty light-boxes. I think it probably works through a USB port. I'm not concerned about the application running under Boot Camp or Parallels, but I'm wondering about the driver. Is it more likely that the driver will work running under Boot Camp rather than Parallels?

Thanks,
kman

Right now, yes, as Parallels latests betas don't do USB. But they said the final product will.

Anyhow, you will have less issues with hardware related stuff just booting into Windows rather than using Parallels.

Boot Camp is nothing but an assistant for burning a CD with Windows drivers and partitioning the drive. The real stuff that makes the Intel Macs boot into Windows is the firmware update.
