Hello All,

Just wondering if there is a way to force Audium NOT to use the Recent Buddies area,setting,thing... I can't stand having recent buddies... As this app is so customizable, I would think that I would have more control over my categories.

I have tried just deleting it, but it keeps coming back I have tried deleting the buddies that are in there, but it still keeps coming back.

Any help/suggestion would be great!

It's not Adium doing that. AIM does it. I blame AOL.

Hi, just curious what you mean by the Recent Buddies thing?
I have Adium and whenever I run it, it has its own random order for my Buddies (AIM account) in the Contact List...maybe this is because of what you're talking about?

I am talking about the sections in which the buddies are arranged. On my Audium, there are two sections, Buddies and Recent Buddies. I would prefer that the recent buddies wasn't there.

You can tell Audium where to put new buddies, but you can't tell it to never use a section like recent buddies... heck, I'm not sure you can create a new section, like "Buddies That Smell Bad" for instance...

By "section" you are referring to something known as groups. And yes, you can create new groups.

I don't either. I remember there was an option to turn it off somewhere but I can't find it anymore.

"Recent Buddies" contains people you've chatted to recently (?) but aren't on your list. I can't stand it either.

You can't eat all those hamburgers, you hear me you ridiculous man?

I'm not aware of any software (Adium and iChat at least) that lets you ignore this. It's stupid but that's AOL for ya.

I recently had someone message me because I was on their Recent Buddies list, but I had ABSOLUTELY NEVER talked to them on AIM. We were both very confused.
