For the past two weeks, I noticed something using Microsoft word that I never noticed before.
When I edit text in a document in any way, say I change a spelling mistake, the line goes from the normal "black" text to a "grey" shade. It last that way until I save the document and move on.
It's just distracting me.
I assume it's some sort of preference, but I've gone through everything and don't see what setting this is under.
It was because I was so sick of Word, that I tried Apple computers back in 1997 because I feel in love with my girlfriend's Appleworks and the fact that I could just do what I wanted to do.
But in this world, I like and need to have documents in .doc format.
I started using this new idea program called MORI after people recommended it on this board, and it will import .doc files, so I've been updating lots of my old Appleworks files.
This is why I started to notice this so much. I also noticed that Helvetica font that I thought I loved, looks all messed up in formatting when you enlarge a document. It just looks terrible in word to me.
Anyway, in many ways I'm a word novice. I don't do much with it. Now, out of nowhere, I have this weird changing the color of the text program. It's just distracting when writing.
thanks for any help from you Word masters.
