Hello all...
I have been having frequent problems when trying to downloading files with both Firefox and Camino. If I choose a download link, the progress bar will show it nearly finish, and then a message pops up saying that a problem occurred...
Here is a picture of the error dialog from Camino.
It often take 3 or 4 tries to get something to download completely. I don't know if this is a hardware problem, a network problem, or a software issue.
I have spot tested a few links with Safari, and it hasn't had a problem yet.
Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks

Worked fine for me. I don't know what to tell you, except to maybe try a fresh Firefox profile, or make sure Stuffit is properly installed.

I'm 80% sure its ur internet conection than the browsers.
1) are you using wifi internet?
2) what is ur service provider
from personal experience, these mattered to me when i kept getting disconnected. in my dell pc, i kept getting disconnected off my wifi after i started encrypting it. for #2, my friend keeps getting logged off aim cuz he uses his county-sponsored cable service, which sucks cuz he keeps getting disconnected and reconnected.

i keep getting disconnected and reconnected because of my flakey dsl connection..... (my wiring sux)...... if you're on dsl, take extra care to make sure your phone lines are in tip-top condition (check with the phone company), make sure any phone cord connecting your modem to the phone outlet in the wall isn't toooooooo long, and if you -are- using a significantly long phone cord, don't coil it or just let it stay tangled..... get a shorter cord.
but if you're not on dsl, i have no clue what else to tell you.....

I do have a DSL connection and a linksys wifi router... I am using WPA encryption on the wireless connection.
I am not convinced that the connection is actually being dropped - I will have to bring up a terminal window or the network pref panel and see if I still have an IP address when this happens.
Thanks for the feedback.
