Now this might sound like a stupid question, but...
What's the difference between this Mplayer for OSX now at version B8R5
and this Mplayer for OSX now at version 1.0pre7try2
but most importantly, where on earth did I get the one I've got - 1.0pre8?
Things are odd!

the 2nd one is the Official and newest version.
THe first is an unofficial one, that i dont think has been updated ina long time. the fficial one is best. VLC is better (IMHO).

All I know is that the second one, version 1.0pre8, is better because it plays FLV files.

yeah I prefer VLC, but sometimes Mplayer can do things that VLC can't.
The major problem is that the top one appears to be the official one from the look of the website (sourceforge) and its apparently v2b8 or something - but you think its the unofficial one?
Oh I don't know...
I'll keep the 1.0 pre8 I reckon
