I don't use excel very often but this problem may be part of the reason. When I open excel or an excel workbook it launches changes the menubar to excel and then hangs. I've tried a reinstall, running it from the disc, and opening it from spotlight and the finder. This is annoying when I want to just update something on a workbook to update things and it never works. I tried restarting and right after login started excel and that worked. But this mac has been being inconsistent latley, but just the little things that really bug me.

10.4.6
PM G5 2.0dp
2.5gb ram
160gb hdd

When excel did end up working after that reboot I got an error saying:

An unexpected error occured while trying to load the microsoft framework library.

Powerpoint and Word seem to work fine, but sometimes long load times which doesn't happen during stevenotes.. and even rosetta looks faster.

I deleted all the old Office/office trial programs on the machine and re-draged office 2004 into my applicaitions folder, excel opens quick!, but I still get the "An unexpected error occured while trying to load the microsft framework library." I spotlighted for the microsoft framework and found two, one in the applictions folder, and one in the System folder\extentions. One is a microsft Entourage shared library (that opens with netscape communicator for some reason). and the other is just a shared library.

Im just wondering why this dialog keeps poping up, it happens in all of the office programs as well not just excel.
