I've got a sawtooth G4/450 w/1MEG of ram and am running an old version of iMovie and iDVD (both are versions 3.0.x).

I want to know if the newer versions of iDVD and iMovie are worth it. In other words, are they easier and will the newer iDVD burn DVD's faster than my version 3.0?

I'm on a mission to take all of my old analog and digital 8mm tapes and burn them to DVD's. I found out that my Sony digital camcorder will take an analog tape and output it into a digital format.
One thing I don't like about version 3.0 of iMovie is that when you delete a movie from the track, it deletes it off the HD. Now I have to re-import the movie...

Any other input on the advatages and disadvantages of iDVD and iMove from 3.0 to the latest version is also appreciated.

Thanks to all who answer.

- Mark
