We have a hotel surveillance system set up and running off of a windows 2000 box. It records and currently is set up to be remote accessed by our dell laptop. The remote access software and the server software/PC card all came together. My question is, is there a program for a mac so that I can remote access the server feed to replace the dell? I've found SecuritySpy, but that seems to be for replacing the whole system with mac hardware. While that is an interesting option, there is a bit of money sunk into the windows 2k machine. Can SecuritySpy be used just to access the remote feed, or is it only for accessing a SecuritySpy feed?

I guess if nothing else, I'll just pick up a G3/G4 tower off ebay for $50 and throw the server HD's into it.

Have you looked into equinux' On Air?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

The problem with equinux is that it appears to only work with IP cameras. These are analog security cameras running into a server to store the video on a hard drive. The server is then accessed by the remote laptop when not at the hotel.

Or can I use that as an IP camera of sorts? I'm still a lil new to this...lol.
