Can anyone synch bookmarks via .mac sys prefs?

I keep getting error messages. It is driving me nuts and I have tried a million ways to fix, but seem to not be able to on my brand new 20". I'm referring to synching between my machine and .mac, not other machines I have. The errors are all over the board. I'll make notes of the excat messages, but this seems like a widespread thing. Anyone?

It might help if you actually told us what the messages were. And yes, I can sync bookmarks with no problem between 4 computers.
