I have a particular website that requires the user agent to be set to IE 6. Manually setting the user agent in the debug works fine, but is there anyway to always use IE 6 for this particular page even if the machine reboots, logs out, or whatever?
Do you seriously expect Safari to have a hint of flexibility?
Maybe you could use Firefox or OmniWeb, they are far more flexible and offer many options. Perhaps there's a plug-in for that, but as I run a plain-vanilla version of Safari, I don't know much about these...
I was planning on using the machines in a locked down, kiosk type of configuration. I figured out how to do it in Firefox, but the POS page displays an error.
What kind of website is it? Maybe you could write the webmaster so he can change the code, if everything works fine if you just change the user agent... A standard website should work in any standard-compliant browser...
