I current use a wireless connection for the net on my iBook G4. I want to add a backup dialup for when I have to travel......I already have both AOL and Earthlink accounts but need to drop one. Should I use AOL connect, which only uses AOL to connect to the net, or Total Access 2005, which is pretty much the entire Earthlink application?

Though not exactly an answer to your question, if you're "in to" XM radio, the free AOL Radio http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28107 may be worth considering. Indeed it seems to be one aspect of AOL that most find very well done.
