What applications will play RMVB video files?

I searched this forum and there were no solutions. Should I just give up on trying?

Try Mplayer
Try RealOne
Try Quicktime with Flip4Mac

As far as I know it's a container used by Real Networks for Real Video 9 so you'll need RealPlayer to play them.

BTW, the quality of the video should be very good for the file size.

I tried the latest version of RealPlayer didn't work. VLC, Mplayer, Quicktime + the flippy thing: None of them works. I gave up.

Realplayer should work since it's RealMedia Variable Bitrate. What error did it give? And could you point to a sample file that doesn't work for you?

I don't have a sample. I deleted it and won't bother again.
