Is iPages really compatible with Word? Really? I know Apple says you can open Word documents and you can save in Word format, but is it true?

It's called "Pages" without an "i". Not "iPages".

Yes, it is true, Pages can import and export Word documents. Whether that means it is "really" compatible with Word depends on what your definition of "is" is. Or "really". Of course there are the usual conversion losses.

AppleWorks is compatible so I would expect Pages to be compatible.
