Does anybody know if there is a way to make Microsoft Office support foreign languages? I toggle between English and Spanish on my iBook G4 quite frequently and while all the other applications support showing their menus in Spanish, Microsoft Office stays in English no matter what? Is there a plugin or language pack I could get or something like that? thanks!

Nope, MS is in the stone ages and only sells single-language targeted copies of Office. If you want Spanish Office, you'll have to buy Spanish Office.

Just to be clear, you should be able to type in Spanish. Just not have the menus in Spanish.

yeah of course I can type in Spanish... I mean It's not like I have to restart my brain to toggle between languages )
I just like the ability to swtich between the two languages depending on if I am using my iBook at school or at home it totally sucks that the menus are not available in different languages.

Menus ARE available in different languages-just not on the same copy of Office. The different versions are distributed with the menus pretty much hard-coded in a specific language (at least as far as the normal user is concerned). So you can buy two different copies, (expensive) or buy what MS calls their Multilengual User Interface pack (probably less expensive) which allows you to change the UI language. Read all about it. The problem is that this MUI pack is generally not available in stores. Read more here. There is a possiblity that your school may have one of the licensing agreements MS mentions, so check into that.

And I think that MUIs are only available for Windows, and only under the volume licensing agreement, and only if it's requested. (i.e. I couldn't get the Greek MUI for Windows from my college).

Person Man, that could be. MS's Office site doesn't seem to differentiate in terms of platform for Office 2003/XP/2004... It's still stupid of them.
