I'm putting together iMovie Slideshows, with Ken Burns effect and either cross dissolve or fade transitions, and all looks great on screen when played as an iPhoto slideshow, but when the slideshow is save as a QT Movie to be dropped into iMovie, the slideshow seems to bump up the brightness/contrast on each image at the height of it's fade-in. When the movie is played in QT, does the same thing. Basically, the delicate highlites are getting annhilated when it reaches full display between fades and dissolves.

It's making me crazy because it looks so terrific on my iPhoto interface. Not until it's saved as a movie does it all go to pot.

Any ideas? Any takers? HELP!

UPDATE: After saving an identical slideshow to a .mov file, WITHOUT the Ken Burns or any cross-effects, just a straight slideshow, it STILL jacks the contrast and kills my hi-lites.
Like the wedding dress. I'd import the photos themselves to iMovie to lay down the tracks, but the process of shortening and lengthing the time duration of each photo is so lame and tedious. It takes forever! Especially if you want to throw in transitions for like, 180 some shots (my max # in any slideshow)
