I have trouble opening Photo Shop and The Super Gamehouse Solitaire Collection. on my Mac G-5 and both of these programs work just fine on my IMac g-5 and my Power Book G-4. I have a 1.8 GHz dual processor and am using OS X version 10.39 and this version is on all three machines. Photo Shop 7.0 starts to open and then acts like it is upgrading and never quite accomplishes it. I have taken these programs off and re- installed them several times and the Photo Shop will work for a while sometimes and the upgrade will flash on the screen and it will open. When it won't open the upgrade window opens and seems to load about halfway and stops. I can leave it overnitght and it still doesn't finish loading.

The Solitaire program has to be force quit several times and then it may open. I am at a loss as to why the other two machines work just fine. I have to believe it is a operating system problem, but Mac won't address the problem because these programs aren't theirs.

Hi Windy, welcome to MacNN!

Please read and familiarize yourself with the house rules (linked from every thread listing). This thread was really about applications, so I've moved the thread there.

Thanks,

It seems as though the updater for photoshop is the problem, if you can get it open for long enough, try and disable it via preferences.

Update starts before the program opens.
