Hi I was wondering what program to use to combine 2 DVD into 1 DL dvd. I tried imovie and idvd and I can't seem to import vob files. I also tried to convert it to mpeg but ffmpegx is a pain to install in macbook pro. Is it possible to convert vob without converting or compressing it? I just want to put the 2 dvds into 1 DL disc and put a new menu. It is a regular dvd from a minidv camera. So it doesnt have any encryption or anything.

Thanks

I believe DVD2OneX can do this.

DVD2OneX will shrink a Dual-Layer DVD/Movie to fit on one disk.
I don't think it will combine two DVDs to make one DVD tho.

I will try something out tonight (no Mac at work) and see what I can find. I thought I remember iDVD (or iMovie) being able to take a DVD movie, but it would take FOREVER to transcode, and then FOREVER for iDVD to re-encode back to DVD.
Too many Apple/Mac products to even bother listing!

Its a dvd from a wedding, my friend paid a $1k for this and it is soooo unprofessional, he didnt even give him a 1 DVD-DL disk. The menu's doesnt work. You have to press menu to see it. It plays automatically from the start, the menu looks like garbage. I want to strip all the menu, get the vob files and combine it into 1 DL DVD disk. I tried dragging the entire mounted DVD into imovie and it imports most of it, I get an error when I import the large vob file. I tried dragging it one at a time and still no luck.

Is it possible to convert it into mpeg files, I tried handbrake and it will encode it to divx/ogm/etc....

No, DVD2OneX definitely has a feature that allows you to join two DVDs together. You can use it to put a two sided DVD onto one disc, for example.
